Opis

Tanio jak na arttravel.pl

Camperstop Europe is written in English by Dutch publisher, Facile Media. This guide offers a good overview of motorhome camperstops across Europe. Camperstops might be more commonly known as Aires, Stopovers and sometimes, incorrectly, wild camping. These overnight motorhome parking areas are exclusively for motorhomes and campervans. Often there is a service point to draw and discharge water.

NEW FOR 2016!
Camperstop Europe is now in a much larger A4 size and covers an additional 852 stops in 12 new countries including Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway, making this the only Aires guide available in English with stopovers in Scandinavia. Other new countries in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania.

Key Features:

-Written in English
-Now in larger A4 format
-Covers 27 European countries (12 countries have been added for 2016)
-Lists 8910 European camperstops
-6804 stops now with photo
-All listings have GPS coordinates

Camperstop Europe 2016 covers:

Albania, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK

How to use Camperstop 2016:

Format. 40 maps covering the 27 countries are at the beginning of the Camperstop Europe guide. Stopovers are identified on the map with a red dot next to the town name. The stopover listing can be located via the index adjacent to the mapping or in the alphabetical index at the back. Both indexes include symbols next to the town name to show at a glance what type of stop over it is.

Brief information is provided at the start of each country section on driving regulations and includes general information like dialling codes, emergency numbers, currency and some parking regulations.

Listings. The listings start with a coloured block detailing the type of stopover, town name and map reference. They then detail the address, GPS coordinates in the format: n52,39185 e7,05025 as well as an accompanying photo for most listings. There are no directions for any listings. A few descriptive words may be given as 'Remarks' at the end of the listing (i.e. At the edge of the village.). The guide lists the number of parking spaces and cost of services and most entries now have a brief description of the type of location (ie quiet, rural) and the parking surface (i.e. gravel). This is followed by opening times and distances to useful facilities identified by symbols (restaurants, town centre). Some entries also have supporting tourist information, which may include museums, markets, buildings, etc. (i.e. 'Modern port city and seaside resort with casino and horse race track'). Postcodes are not supplied in this publication.

"Overnight parking tolerated" areas. Camperstop also includes many "overnight parking tolerated" areas and these are often source of much controversy in the motorhoming world. These stopovers can be very convenient, in idyllic locations and are free, but as they are unofficial they can often be unreliable. This is why this guide is also known as the Marmite guide.

"Overnight parking tolerated" areas are described by the publisher as: "officially prohibited but tolerated by local authorities". There about 1,000 unofficial parking areas in this edition of the Camper Stop Europe book. They are usually fine to use as long as you keep your chattels inside your camper and don't park somewhere that causes offence or contravenes any laws. However, it is good to be aware that by putting these places into print it is likely that many motorhomers descend on one spot, and this can cause problems.
